I don’t know who to thank for this terrific design!! I saw an owl hat, then perused the internet looking for other owl patterns and saw a picture of a similar owl coffee cozy I had to recreate from scratch with my yarn and button stash.
I am adding my version of the pattern below, but also want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the people who use reusable cups and make their own cup cozies so as not to make waste when treating themselves to gourmet coffee. I use a reusable coffee cup, but until now had been using the disposable sleeves from the coffee shop. There is also a green-eyed owl in there somewhere!

8 buttons for eyes – sizes 1/4 to 1/2″ depending on how big you like them (mine are from a multi-colored set I bought years ago and no longer have the package information)
