Pattern & Video Tutorials – LHD Freeform Crochet Death’s Head Moth

Another labor of love, the LHD Freeform Crochet Death’s Head Moth is a gorgeous finished moth you can frame, gift and otherwise have a lot of fun making along with my step-by-step video tutorials! Known as the Death’s-Head Hawkmoth, this acherontia atropos became popular in western pop culture through the 1991 movie adaptation of Thomas Harris’ novel Silence of the Lambs, making it a fun Halloween favorite.

Challenging and fun, we start with the Body, then move on to the Top Wings, then the Bottom Wings, then Assembly.
