There are some creators I enjoy watching who make their dollhouse plates using cardboard and glue. I like the thickness of polymer clay because my plates are not as much decorative as functional for food. So, my eggs and bacon on a plate needs the stability polymer clay provides.
What I did in this video was use cardboard from my Laphroaig Scotch Whisky box, two cookie cutters and glue and cut out circles to make a sort of stand for my clay plates. I’m listing my tools below, as well as a few affiliate links at no extra cost to you.
I was concerned about baking the “stand” but at the low temperature, it browned a touch and held together just fine. I also run a fan when I bake in case the clay burns. I hope you enjoy this tutorial!
