This Bulky Viking Helmet Pattern was a happy accident!
I downloaded a free Viking Hat Pattern with 2 weeks to prepare for a friend’s surprise birthday party. I worked so much that the night before the party I realized I hadn’t even started his hat. Then it occurred to me, if I could adapt it to bulky yarn, as opposed to worsted weight yarn, I could make it in a fraction of the time.
It turned out great! I even ran out of one color grey yarn and had to make the brim accent with a silver yarn, which ended up looking even better than just one color!
This is a step-by-step ‘how to crochet’ tutorial. You don’t have to know how to crochet to make this hat, you can learn as you go. Below you can watch the video, and I’ve listed my supplies underneath with affiliate links for easy purchase. There is no extra cost to you!
